  • Creativity made a splash at All Saints Marsh C of E Academy this week

Creativity made a splash at All Saints Marsh C of E Academy this week as pupils took part in an exciting clay‑sculpture workshop led by artist Anna Boland and funded by The Helen Foundation. The hands‑on session introduced children to a wide range of clay‑working techniques—from pinching and moulding to coiling, joining and adding intricate textures.

Young artists explored how clay can be shaped into expressive forms, working individually and collaboratively to design and build their own sculptures. The workshop encouraged experimentation, problem‑solving and artistic flair.

Courtenay and Templar Class brought their previous learning on biomes to life by crafting an array of underwater creatures. Using rolling techniques, clay tools and plenty of imagination, pupils created everything from fish to octopuses, producing a colourful collection of sea‑themed sculptures that will be painted once dry.

The school extends a huge thank‑you to The Helen Foundation for their continued support in providing enriching creative opportunities for pupils.
