Our pupils had a fantastic opportunity today to meet Martin Wrigley, MP for Newton Abbot.
He spoke to the children about his journey into public service, his role as an MP, and how he works to support the needs of the Newton Abbot community — including tackling important local issues such as flooding, roadworks, and environmental concerns.
Our School Council members were able to ask thoughtful questions and learn more about how democracy works in real life, especially meaningful after their recent visit to the Houses of Parliament last month.
A brilliant example of democracy in action and an inspiring experience for our young learners!
